Quotation marks for CSV export (de: Anführungszeichen für CSV-Export)

Feedback from Thomas Nygreen; Jernbaneverket Oslo by mail on 17.11.2016 (15:38:09 CET):

When copying or exporting the tabular timetable from railVIVID as comma-separated values (CSV), the fields are not quoted, even if they contain commas or line breaks. This produces CSV output that cannot be imported properly. In the CSV format, all fields that contain commas, line breaks, ... must be quoted to keep them together. To avoid checking, all fields can be quoted.

  • Component changed from General and Main Views to Tabular TT Viewer

From my personal view a quotation of all fields might cause aditonal problems and inflate file size. Therefore the foort has to be calculated carefully, a common working scheme with often used tools like Microsoft Excel would be great.
